Samsung SDI Says Plans $2 Billion Solar Battery Investment

Samsung SDI said on Friday it would invest 2.2 trillion won($ 2 billion) in the development of solar battery business in 2015 to produce 3.5 trillion won revenue from new business development  took over from affiliated companies Samsung Electronics.

Samsung SDI, which also makes rechargeable batteries and plasma flat screens, said the aim to secure 8% of the global market of solar battery in 2015.
